Our Story
BC Sustainable Collective began in 2023 when founder Sarah Chen struggled to find trustworthy contractors for her off-grid homestead project in the Kootenays. After weeks of research and dead ends, she realized many others faced the same challenge.
What started as a simple Facebook group has grown into a comprehensive platform connecting thousands of British Columbians who are passionate about sustainable living, from urban apartment dwellers starting their first balcony garden to experienced homesteaders building complete off-grid systems.
